Taj Safaris - Banjaar Tola – Kahna National Park

Bastar metal work, hand-printed cloth and intricate stone carvings scattered throughout the camp represent the work of scores of talented artisans.

THE BRIEF

Fox Browne Creative, partnering with Delhi based Architect Sanjay Prakash, was tasked by Taj Hotels and andBeyond to create a contemporary tented camp on the banks of the Banjaar River.

THE INSPIRATION

The lodge boasts two elegant camps of nine suites, each with its own intimate tented sitting area. Bastar metal work, hand-printed cloth and intricate stone carvings scattered throughout the camp represent the work of scores of talented artisans. The comfortable guest sitting area is filled with the handicrafts of nearby Chhattisgarh, from Bastar bell metal structures to tribal metal work.

THE RESULT

One of the first of its kind as a luxury tented camp bordering on Kanha National Park.

Sadly this lodge was never photographed professionally. Since this lodge was built, andBeyond has exited from the operational management of all Taj Safaris properties.
