MELISSA MUSSET | OPERATING, SMALLS AND EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST

Operating equipment can make or break the entire guest experience, and my role at Fox Browne Creative as the Guest Service Equipment Specialist is to ensure that every detail is carefully curated, thoughtfully crafted, and considered to enable the operations teams to deliver gracious hospitality. Alongside the hospitality and design teams, I conceptualise, curate, plan, and ensure the delivery of all equipment.
In my seven years at Fox Browne Creative, I have been involved in nearly every project across Africa, translating design concepts into moments of delight that enhance the overall guest experience. Currently, I am working on several exciting projects spanning from Botswana to Zambia, Kenya, and Zanzibar. Engaging with the operating teams and staff of each project is a highlight for me, and upon completion of installations, I aim to provide items that bring joy and ease to their work.
I am inspired to lead a life of significance, focusing on how I treat people and make them feel, while staying true to myself and always aiming to do the right thing. This inspiration extends to raising my children to be good humans. I am committed to continuous learning, making small differences where I can, and creating memorable moments.
After completing my Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing at Stellenbosch and a Postgraduate Diploma in Advertising, I worked in marketing in the UK and travelled extensively. Upon returning to South Africa, I worked in FMCG PR and retail marketing, delivering brand communication strategies for both local and international brands.
